Sakumono beats Kalatec at Tesano, Stadium B go top in Week 14

After beating Atomic Tennis Club in Week 13, Stadium B maintains their impressive away record as they went to Tema to oust BabooSports Academy at the TOR Tennis Club. The presence of Ismailia Lamptey, CEO of BabooSports Academy in charge of the team, could not even save them from a difficult afternoon. At the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Courts, Army Officers Tennis Club (AMTEC) added more whipping woes to the boys of Flipper Tennis Club. AMTEC won 3-0 in the 12, 14 and under categories. Sensational wunderkind from Sakumono, Kojo Stephens, powered his Club to defeat Kaneshie Tennis Club (Kalatec) at the Tesano sports Club. Sakumono won 3-0 in the 12&under and 2-1 in the 16&under but lost 2-0 in the 14 &under. Ex national Tennis Stars Sponsor 2018 National Ranking Tour 3

Five former national tennis stars based in the United States have come together to boost the 2018 National Ranking  Tour 3 by adding financial incentives into the tournament which is currently ongoing at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis Courts. The five, led by Roger Crawford, who extended an invitation to all the former players in the States to come under the umbrella of Tennis Foundation Ghana to support in their own small ways, includes Isaac Nunoo, Tetteh  Quaye, Nii Dodoo and Victor Steiner. The former National Stars have injected undisclosed fees into the Ranking Tournament.  Speaking to Tennisgh.com via Skype, Mr.Victor Steiner said “Tennis helped us a lot and we owe it a duty to give back to society, and this is the little contribution we can do to help bring up the young ones,” he said. Stadium B outwitted league leaders at the Atomic Tennis club house in Week 13 of the National Juniors Tennis League after winning 2-1 in the 12 and 14 under but lost 1-2 in the 16&under. The win sent Stadium B back to the top of the table on 38 points. At the TOR Tennis Club in Tema Com 8, Baboo Sports Academy beat Flipper Tennis club 3-0 in the 12, 14 and 16 under categories. Baboo Sports Academy are now second with 36 points. Stadium A  Tennis Club got a rare win after beating Ghana Tennis club at 2-1 in the 12 &under, 3-0 in the 14 and under and 2-1 in the 16&under at Ghana Tennis Club House in Adabraka. Stadium A is in fourth place with 25 points while Ghana Tennis Club is 11th on the league table. Army Officers Tennis Club’s poor away showing continued as they lost 3-0 in the 12 and 16 under but managed to win 1-2 in the 14&under to Sakumono Tennis Club.
